American Board of Surgery Sponsors PRSSA Table at the 2024 Pepperpot Awards

The American Board of Surgery is proud to sponsor the PRSSA Table at the 2024 Pepperpot Awards. Register now to reserve your spot.

While PRSSA students have always had a presence at the Pepperpot awards, this designated table allows even more students to participate, and most of all, gives our professional attendees a designated spot to find their next great interns and employees! Interested PRSSA members should reach out to emergingprpros@philly.org for more information.

Why is a "non PR company" sponsoring a table at the PRSA Philly Pepperpots? PRSA Philly Board Member Alyson Maloney tells us more:
I work for the American Board of Surgery, and I am incredibly fortunate to work for an organization whose leadership team supports its employees' professional development. They understand that, while the organization is not part of the PR/communications industry, that is the field I have chosen as my career, and they have chosen me as an employee. They want their employees to grow and succeed within their careers, and they generously contribute to make that happen.
I have been a member of PRSA Philly for five years and on its board of directors for three, and I can say without a doubt that my involvement with the organization has made me a better, smarter PR professional. I've learned so much through the programming offered, but have learned so much more from the seasoned professionals that I've met through my involvement. It is our absolute pleasure to pay that forward in a way, by inviting PRSSA students to attend the Pepperpots Awards Celebration this year, at no cost to them, and network with some of the big names in Philly PR in an effort to kickstart their careers. Mentorship is so important, especially in this industry and especially for new graduates, and I am proud to work for an organization that supports that.
